Mick Callahan graduated from the University of Florida in 1969, and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Law School in 1973. He worked for the Department of Transportation Legal Division, and was Chief of Litigation in 1974-1975. He worked on cases involving admiralty and maritime claims, contract disputes, bridge and road construction cases and bodily injury and wrongful death claims.

Mr. Callahan represented various agencies of the State of Florida, including the Florida Departments of Agriculture, Environmental Regulation, Health and Human Services, Military Affairs, Natural Resources and Transportation, as well as the Florida State University, the Florida Highway Patrol, the Florida Division of Offender Rehabilitation, the Division of Youth Services and the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission and represented insurance companies and self-insured corporations in the defense of tort claims over a period of 20 years.

Mr. Callahan also represented clients in administrative law proceedings for construction and nursing home companies whose licensing and permitting requirements involved litigation with state agencies headquartered in Tallahassee.

Mr. Callahan has 31 years trial experience and has tried over 150 jury trials to a conclusion as lead counsel. He served as the President of FLABOTA, representing 600 trial lawyers from eleven Florida chapters of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only association of five thousand defense and plaintiffs lawyers who have extensive trial experience and excellent reputations among their peers. He is currently the National Board Representative of the Tampa Bay Chapter.

Mr. Callahan currently devotes his practice to insurance, bad faith litigation, medical and professional malpractice suits, and bodily injury and wrongful death lawsuits.
